DAILY Sketchblog, Day 018
ARES! God of War. Currently starring in a spin-off mini-series written by Kieron Gillen. A really, really entertaining book. Ares also appears in Dark Avengers every month, and is currently guest-starring in Secret Warriors.

DAILY Sketchblog, Day 017
Daken Akihiro. Son of Wolverine. I have to admit, I didn't care for the guy at all when he first appeared, but he's starting to grow on me ever since the Original Sin storyline last year. What's also great is Dark Wolverine, which he stars in. Daniel Way and Marjorie Liu are turning this stone cold killer into a real character. He's already involved himself in other circles of the Marvel Universe as one of Norman Osborn's Avengers, and made allies out of the Fantastic Four. His best moment, of course, is in the Dark Reign - The List: Punisher special, where he takes on the Punisher that only one of them got to walk away from.

DAILY Sketchblog, Day 015
Starscream. Decepticon air commander. Ambitious. Treacherous. Awesome. 'Nuff said.

DAILY Sketchblog, Day 014
Cobra Commander and Destro. Together, they run Cobra, a ruthless terrorist organization determined to rule the world. Also, the most extravagant. They have ridiculous hideouts that probably cost billions to build. They also come up with some of the most ridiculous schemes to seize control of the planet. I mean, if they didn't bother spending all their overhead on ridiculous bases and weaponry, they wouldn't have to demand billions of dollars from the government. Just saying...

DAILY Sketchblog, Day 013
Mongul. Rather, Mongul Jr. This guy just asks for trouble. He killed his sister, Mongal. (yes, he has a sister named Mongal) He's fought Superman far too many times, and he even tried to usurp control of the Sinestro Corps from Sinestro.
That didn't end well for old Mongul here.

Daily sketchblog: Day 012
The Punisher! As seen in Rick Remender's Punisher series, set firmly in the Marvel universe.

Daily Sketchblog day 010!
Devastator is a giant Decepticon comprised of the six Constructicons. I have fond memories of collecting the original toys, and finally building the giant robot out of the six construction vehicles. I never understood the lime green color scheme these guys had, though.

Daily Sketchblog Day 009
Kids, this is what happens when you draw from memory. Major Bludd here wears an eyepatch. I drew it on the wrong eye. I realized this AFTER I finished coloring. Oh well. Still, it came out looking fine. The purists will kill me for the mistake, though.

DAILY Sketchblog, Day 08
The Iron Patriot! Norman Osborn, formerly known as the murdering psychopath Green Goblin...now, America's top law-man and superhero. Director of H.A.M.M.E.R. and leader of the Avengers. Of course, it's only a matter of time before he makes an idiot of himself again. He's clearly one of the most fascinating characters of the last couple of years. Also a lot of fun to draw.

DAILY Sketchblog, Day 07
Psycho Mantis, Sniper Wolf, Revolver Ocelot, and Liquid Snake they are Special Forces Unit Foxhound. These are characters from the video game Metal Gear Solid, and some of the most fascinating characters in the medium.

DAILY Sketchblog, Day 05
Kraven the Hunter. A classic Spider-Man villain that ended up taking his own life at the end of the great 'Kraven's Last Hunt' storyline. Since then we were introduced to the rest of his family in Amazing Spider-Man.
Fun little piece. Turned out better than I thought it would.

DAILY Sketchblog, Day 04
Darkseid. Lord of Apokolips. Enemy of all that is life!
I tried my best to do some Kirby-tech for this piece, and I think I'm fairly successful at it. As far as Darkseid goes, I always enjoyed drawing the character, so I had no doubt this piece would turn out well. I threw in the firepit in the background, because it really tied it all together. Don't you agree?

DAILY Sketchblog, Day 03
Dr. Strange. Master of the mystic arts, former sorceror supreme, snappy dresser, and a really fun character to draw, among other things. He is also starring in a brand new limited series written by Mark Waid, aptly titled 'Strange.' Issue 1 is in stores today.

DAILY Sketchblog, Day 02
Megatron! Leader of the Decepticons! As a kid, I always preferred the bad guys over the good guys. Megatron was one of the first villains I really got into, after all, he transforms into a gun! How badass was that?
Done with pen and marker on a 4 x 6 board.

DAILY Sketchblog, Day 01
Heeeere's Deadpool! And he's going to shoot a boot at you.
Today marks the beginning of the daily sketchblog challenge. And dammit, I intend to make it a full year. I expect you all to shame me to keep it going. Ha ha ha.

Plugging away...
Been working on mini-sketches and holiday cards. Here's a sampling. Of course, I'll be scanning these in hi-res and turning them into sketchblog fodder VERY soon.
I'm a little over halfway done inking Blacklisted, working out layouts for two other stories, and also, a webcomic. The webcomic has no schedule, most likely going to be weekly. No particular subject for that, its just randomness from any given day of the week. You'll see soon enough.
